                                              LENS
            Low Energy Neurofeedback System

Approximately nine years ago this modality, Low Energy Neurofeedback, entered  my life and it has become a fantastic adjunct to the counseling process. It has been my experience that  with this type of neurofeedback the client progresses faster and requires fewer sessions of counseling.

What is LENS?

The LENS is a revolutionary technique for restoring optimal brain function.

The LENS, Low Energy Neurofeedback System, feeds back information to the brain by using a faint radio frequency signal that is based on the person's EEG.  The power of this signal is much less than the radio waves that surround us everyday.

It triggers an assessment and evaluation of what you are doing at a fundamental level. The LENS prompts an updating or examination of brain operation. An analogy might be similar to rebooting your computer for a fresh start or defragmenting your hard drive (brain)
for optimal system performance.

The change can sometimes be noticed in a moment or may take a few hours to appear. A welcoming feeling of calm and control is often the change that is reported.  The brain recognizes this efficiency and adopts this efficiency as a new way of working. Symptom improvement follows naturally.

This improvement may be felt as a surprising increase in functionality.
Improved cognitive function, motivation, mood, motor skills,  and quality of sleep are noted. Reduction in anxiety, migraines, and of pain have followed sessions of Low Energy Neurofeedback.
