Biofeedback
Breath, Stress Response, Biofeedback
Stress comes with living. A certain amount of stress is necessary and helpful. Your body reacts to stress by oftentimes altering breathing. This altered pattern can be harmful to optimal health. Chronic overstimulation of the amygdala (the alarm generating system of the body) causes neural passages to become hyper aroused, overcharged, and very sensitive to any stimulation. Hyper reactivity to external stimuli adds stress and agitation to an already overcharged system. A vicious cycle of agitation and hyper reactivity begins and allows "dis-ease" to enter our body. Biofeedback allows you to return to a more balanced and restful state. It is in this restful, parasympathetic state where your body repairs itself, you attain clarity and wellness returns to your mind and body.
